“In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets,
but in these last days he has spoken to us by a son…”
Hebrews 1:1-2

I like to think of Christmas this way:

God wants to say something important to all of us!

That “something” is what Christmas is all about.

The unknown (to us) person who wrote the book of Hebrews describes the coming of Jesus as God speaking to us. I love that!

Christmas is God speaking!

And the Gospel of John beautifully echoes the same thought – that Jesus is God’s Word made flesh!

Seems to me that the earliest Christian believers wanted to get across an important point about Christmas:

God wants to say something important to all of us!

Christmas is God speaking!

So what is God saying?

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth…”
John 1:14

A Word of GRACE and TRUTH!

The message of Christmas is God’s unconditional love for all people.

“You are loved and accepted!” says Christmas to all people everywhere!

Believe this Good News! Let it heal your heart!

Live this Good News! Let it guide every relationship!

Share this Good News! Go and tell the world!”

In a world desperately longing for peace, I wonder what could happen if we really heard – and believed – and lived – and shared God’s amazing Christmas message?
