Many years ago, our family was vacationing on Cape Cod. My father and mother rented a bicycle-built-for-two. Off they went for an afternoon’s ride. Well, when they returned, my father was soaked in sweat, completely out of breath, and just about on the verge of a heart attack! He gasped, “That is a lot harder than it looks! It actually felt like I was pedaling the two of us all by myself!!!!”

And that’s when my mother got this terrible look on her face!

She didn’t know she was supposed to pedal!

Do you know that you’re supposed to pedal, too? God has called us into a joint venture that is going to result in the Kingdom of heaven!

And you and I can be helpful to God in the words we speak, the actions we take, and the lives we live.
