My friend Don Voorhis died of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Don was a church member who became a friend, a husband who tenderly cared for his terminally ill wife, a dad who poured love into the lives of his daughters and grandchildren, a widow who found new love, a man whose journey through ALS is a great testimony to the love of God shown through the kindness of friends and strangers alike. Don has been gone since 2010, but I think his story still needs to be told...

A neighbor boy, little Christopher, was just three or four years old when he was severely injured. He was with his parents in a store that had two levels and the shopping carts were moved from floor to floor on a conveyor system.
